This luxury six bedroom, five bath villa is situated on a 1 Rai land plot (1,600 sqm) and located in the south after village of Thao Tao, 10 km south of Hua Hin town. Completed in early 2021, the main house, sala and guest house overs 440 sqm, the raised terrace is 140 sqm and the pool is a huge 68 sqm of cool relaxing water. Functionality - Taking Louis Sullivan’s famous architectural mantra of ‘form follows function’, ‘Summer Breeze’ has been designed and refined to be as user friendly, 100% disabled/wheelchair friendly and practical as possible, to maximise the quality of life and benefits of living in the tropics. Furthermore, only the highest quality materials and fittings have been used throughout, giving quality aesthetics and also to keep any future maintenance costs to a minimum. Style - The influence of classical Greco-Roman architecture is evident in the beautiful symmetry of the façade and also the colonnade at the rear of the house, however, there any of the old order similarity ends. This wonderful villa is completely original 21st century open plan design with uncluttered clean lines everywhere. Ground Works - Built on 97 piles with an extensive grounds drainage system it is also designed to withstand the monsoon rains and blistering sun of Thailand for many generations to come. Orientation - This home has been deliberately positioned with the main house on an east-west axis to give a stunning view of turtle mountain (Khao Tao) and benefit from the beautiful sunrises over the mountains and sunsets behind the Sala. Grounds - The gardens have been thoughtfully landscaped with the rear garden lawn being large enough to accommodate a badminton court and also including a hidden allotment/herb bed area. All the grounds and walkways can be tastefully illuminated at night, if required. Bedrooms - 5 double bedrooms (including 2 in the guest house) open out directly onto the pool and terrace, 4 with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms also benefit from Sun-Gard window film for extra privacy and coolness. Staff Accommodation (Bedroom 6) - Finished to the high standards of the main and guest house, with aircon in the bedroom and hot water in the en-suite bathroom. Again, fitted with Sun-Gard window film. Study/office - This large area can easily accommodate 4 desks and can be used an extra king-size bedroom if required. Store Rooms - A common design fault in modern housing is lack of storage. On top of the very generous wardrobe accommodation, there is an internal store/larder, a car port store, pool store and pump room/garden store. Finally, Summer Breeze’s location is also just 500 metres from the new main line train station that will be completed shortly, enabling stress free travel in to the center of Bangkok in just a couple of hours.
